Let’s face it: Interior design is one of the things that can turn a “house” into a “home,” but it’s easy to get stuck in a rut when it comes to decorating. Making small changes to your space can improve more than your home’s aesthetics, though. In fact, a well-decorated room is not only more enjoyable to live in but easier to clean and keep organized as well.
Make a statement with a colorful couch
Many people make the mistake of assuming furniture should always come in neutral colors – especially larger pieces like sectionals or armchairs. Don’t be afraid to pick something that adds a pop of color, like a delightfully tasteful, purple couch.
This doesn’t mean neutral tones don’t have their place. If you opt for a vibrant sofa or sectional, make sure to incorporate plenty of neutral tones throughout the rest of the room. By doing so, you’ll not only draw attention to the statement piece but avoid overwhelming the aesthetic with too much color.
