Say goodbye to the kitchen backsplash (but tile everything)
Kitchen backsplashes serve and important purpose but can break the visual line between your countertops and the ceiling. To make your kitchen appear more open and appealing, consider carrying your tile backsplash all the way up to the ceiling.
For the best results, choose a monochromatic tile in the same color as nearby walls. The shape of the tiles is important too. Honeycomb, square, and retangular (subway) tiles are all good options.
